Another great dessert option for Shavuot: Cheesecake Brownies.
I've long been a fan of babka (mostly chocolate) but this lemon-scented cream cheese swirled babka is my new favorite. A crumble-topping takes it to the next level.
Anybody else making cheese knishes (in a stretch dough) today? Recipe coming to the blog soon!
This recipe comes from the vault - from over a decade ago when I wrote recipe columns for various newspapers. I found it while going through all of my old recipe files and decided to make it this weekend - what a great decision!
My Cherry, Chocolate, and Almond Strata is the perfect thing to cook for Mother's Day (or Shavuot!). Challah layered with, well, cherries, chocolate, and almond, covered in custard, and tucked away in the fridge the night before you need it. Bake it off the next day for brunch and it'll feed a crowd!
Yom Haatzmaut is on Wednesday and I have you covered! ;)
